A selection of compositions from my time at Berklee.

Wildfyre

Wildfyre is a ~6:00 piece for full orchestra based off melodic transpositions of interview quotes from Hulu's "Fyre Fraud." The piece displays the negative and toxic side of the social media market, highlighting the anxiety and fear created in the name of marketing.

Ode to the West Wind

"Ode to the West Wind"  is an A Capella choral piece for SSAATTBB with Soprano Solo. It features selected text from Percy Shelley's "Ode to the West Wind," adapted for music. The music draws from Ligeti and Ravel, featuring lush harmonies arranged in washy, arrhythmic 8-part textures.

Jellykid, No!

"Jellykid, No!" is a solo piece for Marimba and Tape Loop. The piece was designed for a Tascam 414 Portastudio, a cassette player with a varispeed knob. A short (2-measure) tape loop is played continuously, but slowly sped up until it raises 4 half-steps in pitch. The marimba remains in concert pitch, but gradually transitions to match the tape loop.
